The aniamtion of the construction and deconstruction sequences is fallow in itself, adopting an uncomfortable frame rate of 12fps. Each frame is then interpolated using AI, to create a rhythm of rest, human productivtiy and aritifical productivity or ‘camouflage’.

Compressed Blender Animation

Every component is assembled and disassembled as it moves across the landcsape. Constructed and deconstructed in the same sequence, the building retains its fixings and its weathering. Nothing is replaced, nothing is discarded.
Render made in Blender 5.1 through compressing a month of animations down into one second.

Diagram and Genre
2026
A proposed seventh chronogram extends e-flux’s reimagining of Charles Jencks’ Evolutionary Tree, reframing the spaces of inactivity as productivity through inversion of the original diagram. The diagram tracks the new genre: ‘fallow’ through visual epehrmera from the upbeat bored fallow of the UK rave scene to the adoption of slowness from COVID-19’s worldwide fallow.

Canary Wharf as a Cultural and Political Fantasy
An autoethnographic account of growing up watching Canary Wharf from Greenwich Park, and slowly and anxiously uncovering the visual fantasy of the Enterprise Zone. Reading the same deregulatory logic forward to Grenfell, and reading the towers' emptiness in the 90s as a warning we didn't heed, the essay treats Canary Wharf as a sentinel: the first place to show the symptoms of a failing capitalistsystem we're all living inside.

The rewritten food system is slowed down and deconstructed as it becomes the organisation of spaces on the site, following the narrative from seed sharing as initial site of resistance, to growing spaces, both industrial nursery and public garden, through market space, food bank and communal kitchens to end of life waste treatment, preserved or used in a zero waste osteria.

The Tupperware box, an allotment staple in transportation of food, acts here as an archive and pedagogical tool of relearning relations to food through a gamified and accessible seed sorting, linking the last stage of the food system, the industrial consumption object, to the very start of the food system, the seed, with small scale rituals becoming acts of resistance against the current food system
